Early 7 Oct tamed a baby at a Widow lair 3652 -4196. Has Defensive Agility L3.
Widows are often found in close proximity to Research Outpost in the hilly area; often times with a Queen. I've been searching for well over a year. Finally! (Starsider)

I am a Master CH on Ahazi and I just tamed my Archane Widow last night. Was in a wild spawn with 2 widows and 1 queen out. A commando friend and I were out collecting DNA samples when I said stop there is a widow nest. One dead widow later and I see a yellow dot that doesn't turn red. My heart stops, I walk up to it start taming when BAM!, nothing less than a BLURG RAPTOR comes and incapps me in one hit. I knew he would DB if he wasn't in combat so I asked my good friend Etov to sacrifice himself so I could tame the baby. Needless to say Etov's death did not go unwarranted, second try and I see those beautiful forest green letters. Yesterday was probably the most fun I have had at SWG in a long time as I not only got my Wido but after 3 days of looking got my Screecher. Wohoo

Tsunaki Tue Aug 10 2004 10:10:00 PM

stigmata Fri Jul 30 2004 2:16:00 PM

I just got one after looking for about 2 hours, from the second nest I found. I almost died with full buffs when I failed to tame it the first time and caught aggro lol. I cleared the spawns, but mobs spawned while I was taming without me noticing (probably too excited). I'm going to add the WP to the list. good luck
Tivo_Lowca Wed Jul 21 2004 4:42:00 AM
i got my widow way back in january. since then i had to have done around 50 widow lairs without seeing another baby. good luck with your hunt

If you ever come across a Wookie and Rancor skeleton on Gorath, that was me and my loyal pet who tried to find a widow baby for over one week now. They ARE rare :)
Itekei Wed Jul 7 2004 12:37:00 PM
which mounds they spawn from ? just the ones with widows and queens or from others, too ?
Vral Soqui Tue May 25 2004 11:15:00 AM
Was lucky enough to add one of these to my datapad of rare pets last night. Was about 800m SW of the Research Outpost. The lair was non mission and each spawn had 3 widows and 1 queen. I'm a Master Bio Engineer and I racked up a ton of DNA samples which made some really nice BE pets. The arachne widow(baby) spawned on the 2nd round. This was only the 2nd lair I attempted to clear. I cleared another after that with the same spawn rates but no baby. Special thanks to my MCH friend who came to tame it for me =)

At 12:40 est - I FINALLY tamed one) Was just working over a nest and I happened to be looking at a blurgg while waiting for the spawn to come out(blurgg make me laugh sometimes)I happened to see a yellow arrow on my map right over the waypoint that was not turning red..was finally a baby!!I put goofy chef hat on with taming bonus and eat a taming biscut, and went to tame - failed first try( and it chased me for a very long time quickly. Kept thinking either somethings going to aggro this/me or its going to do the traditional swg glitch poof. Tamed on second try when agro dropped!) I am happy as hell to finally have one these and am going to keep helping Wolvy find his. (this nest btw was 670 east of the research outpost)

Fuzz is right. I have been hunting with him the last few days and these things are rare. I believe the baby rarity ratio of 8.6 is wrong. I had to go through less swamp stalkers to get my baby then I have been through widows with Fuzz and without him. Something isn't right here. :)
Fuzzgau Sat May 22 2004 3:13:00 PM
Its also a major pain to get. Done tons of lairs, got every widow I get out of them and still nothing (god i hate that yellow before they go red.) I'd give it a 9.9 on baby rarity. Either I still want one and will keep trying. Ironically I saw a screecher nest with 2 adults and a baby flying around - always when im not looking for something..(baby ended up poofing when I got back there after losing agro)
NIMH Sat May 22 2004 11:37:00 AM
Fuzzgau, it's a trade off, the Webmaster may do 10 more damage, but the Widow has a considerably higher HAM and Resists.
Fuzzgau Sat May 22 2004 6:20:00 AM
I had a chance at getting one before but due to widespread reds and a annoying arachne Queen randomly firing off her poison spray special, It died( . Ive been trying to get one lately but just more and more regulars( Will keep trying... (is the damage correct on this? the Webmaster does 10 more)
Sato Mon May 10 2004 8:47:00 PM
Had one for awhile. This is a keeper pet, and can't wait for a pvp encounter!

I just tamed one of these on Friday (05/07/04). It was a lair with a Queen and 2 Windows. After taking out 2 Queens, I decided to focus on the Widows because I figured that whatever I took out would pop. After 4 or 5 widows I see the yellow dot. I put my pets away call my bike, mount up and ride over. The rest is history...
Hashishin Tue Mar 23 2004 8:34:00 PM
Have now killed dozens of widows, half a dozen queens, and emptied out six lairs completely -- no baby sightings.
widow Mon Mar 22 2004 8:42:00 PM

Abraham Wed Mar 10 2004 5:38:00 AM
No missions in my exp. But they do spawn from lairs and theyre found SE/E/NE of research outpost on endor....in distance up to several 1000m from outpost. I tamed my first on my second lair....sold it for 800k and took me another 58 lairs to spawn a second. Just got it last night, im never selling that one and never doing another widow lair:P
Husarz Wed Mar 10 2004 4:06:00 AM
umm, is this possible to get widow missions?
Allanon Sat Feb 14 2004 6:33:00 AM
How du u find those widows? Do they spawn from Arachne lairs? Or are they just like Gurrecks, roaming free in the nature...?

Seen a lair today, about 500m from the Research Outpost. I seem to find them either on Monday or Tuesday, around 8pm Hawaii time. I have always seen one at these times on Ahazi.
