Well, I wouldn't class them as NPCs, as they are still more animal-like to me. But they are close to being a "humanoid"-like tribe. I still wish they were tamable though. I'm a big fan of simian creatures (i.e. veermok, hanadak, gurk, etc.) That new one called the minstyngar for RotW looks crazy. Btw, I'm looking for a BE veermok with awesome stats (and armor) in Bria server. If anyone can point out a direction as to possible places to buy one, that would be great!

Especially since gurks are NPCs

I've been a CH since the beginning, and from what I've seen there is no tamable gurk. That kid was more than likely BSing you, unless he had proof to show.

Ness - A long, long time ago, there were rumors of a tamable gurk version. I never saw one, but many people supported the rumor.

some kid who had the game since launch was telling me that this guy was the rarest creature to find and was tamable and he was like only few have been seen. i know he was BS cause i was like the reclusive GK drops the ris component and was not tamable. he said no there is another gurk king and i was like are you thninking of crazed gurk destroyer and he was like no and i asked him the level he said 45 so he knew the creature but am i right about him being a BSer or is there really a tamable gurk?

Confirming the above...except I experienced a 90 min respawn. Took 6 kings to get the loot.

Potentially drops a RIS component, a "Gurk King Hide". They can be found at two static POI spawns: (700,-3380) and (-3762,-3467). If one isn't there, then kill all the gurks around the POI and come back in about 30-60 minutes (don't camp the spot because they won't spawn then for some reason). They can also somoetimes be found as lair bosses in wild gurk lairs that are called "a nest".
